Special Effect Contact Lenses

Some believe a person's eyes are the windows to their soul. Does that hold true for people who wear contacts? What about people who wear colored or special effect contacts? There are so many contact lens varieties out there, no one can be certain that the stranger on the street truly has blue, green, or gremlin eyes.

A new addition to the colored contact lens possibilities are special effect contact lenses. One special effect lens is the "Knockout" lens. This specific lens is white with red X's. "Target" lenses have red, white and black circles. There are also contacts that have a smiley faces, flowers, or cat eyes. Many of these special effect lenses are suitable only for Halloween, as they truly cast an eerie effect on the person who wears them.

Yet, as with most contacts one most posses a doctor's note to attain these contacts. Like other contact lenses, these require special fitting to ensure no damage is done to the eye.
